Meet Anna, Our Spring 2019 Intern!

If there is one thing I've learned about owning a business, it is to never underestimate yourself. I've been fortunate to be very busy and I couldn't be more thankful. It can be scary to ask for help, but sometimes you need it in order to continue the company's growth and success. Enter Anna Shay McCroskey. I met Anna through a mutual friend and words cannot explain how lucky I am to have her on our team as an intern.

The North Myrtle Beach native currently attends Coastal Carolina University, working to earn a degree in Hospitality, Resort & Tourism Management. She aspires to own an event planning business one day and use what she's learned in school, through internships and working in a restaurant to her advantage. She definitely has the personality to do great things! While she's not busy studying or working, Anna loves watching movies, going to the beach and having picnics with her incredibly adorable daughter Hailey.

Anna will assist with all marketing efforts that include planning, coordination and execution of an event from a promotional standpoint, graphic design (invitations, flyers), digital marketing tools (social media, email, web, SEO) and public relations (writing, media relations). Also, through this marketing internship, she will learn from start to finish how to write a proposal for a new client, how to pitch new clients, how to execute and strategize, as well as showing the appropriate analytics and reports from campaigns. We will take fun field trips and attend local events, wedding expos, networking opportunities and trade shows. She will get a well-rounded feel for what it's like to own a business and the importance of being involved in the community.

You honestly don't learn all the tricks and tools needed to be successful while in school. You learn the basics, maybe some new programs and software, but how to really implement and put that knowledge into a real world setting can only be learned while in the workforce. I only wish I could have had a leg up while in school and know what I know now. Major props to the kids out there that are going out and making things happen!

We're already off to the races and I'm excited to teach and help Anna follow her dreams of having her own business one day. Cheers to an exciting 2019!
